    Government of India, New Delhi was organized at ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida from 11th  – 13th  April 2017

     

    Day 1 started with lightening of lamp followed by Inaugural address from Dr. S.P.Mishra, Advisor- ITS The Education Group. Dr. S.P.Mishra introduced the term “Entrepreneur” with students. He shared her view with live examples and learning exercises on the topic “Entrepreneurship and Present Scenario”. He motivated all the students to look for avenues other than searching for a job after college and innovate new or existing ideas.

    Second Session was by Mr. Manveen Chadha, he explained the business sensing opportunities techniques to students. Where students were explore about various business idea and highlighted how the entrepreneurial system has evolved in recent times

     

    Day 2 started by Mr. O.P Singh, Chief Manager, NSIC, New Delhi. He explained about various financial schemes of NSIC and loan options extended by the government to entrepreneurs.

     Second session was by Dr. Pallavi, she explained the role of communication in business and detailed analysis of “Expansion to new markets-options and strategies”. She also explains students regarding their risk taking capabilities.

     

    On the last day of the programme Industrial visit was arranged for the students at Eldeco Amantaran, Noida. The main objective behind the visit was to provide the first hand knowledge about the way of working in Industry. There the students got the opportunity to visit all the sections such as Building structures, Beams, Filtering system, Concrete Mixture etc.

    At the valedictory session certificates were distributed to the participants by HOD-CE, Mr. Manveen Chadha & Mr. Saurav Kumar.

    The programme was highly appreciated by the participants in terms of entrepreneurship skill development. The students felt very passionate to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

    Dr. Monika Jain, General Chair of ICAEDC-2017, has presented the objectives and program highlights of ICAEDC-2017. Being a host, Dr. Jain has briefed about the journey of ICAEDC-2017 to a grand success.

    Director, Dr. Kansal has welcomed all delegates & highlighted the best practices that ITS-EC facilitated to the students & faculty for creating an environment of quality research in campus.

    Chief Guest, Mr. Dinesh Jain, President UFlex Ltd. has delivered the inaugural speech – where he highlighted the importance of young and dynamic engineers, research scholars, industry and academia to take initiatives in transformation of advanced technologies facing the real socio -economic challenges. At the end of inaugural speech Mr. Jain has formally declared as “Conference Open”. It was followed by a formal inauguration ceremony of “Conference Proceedings ICAEDC-2017” by Chief Guest, Distinguished Speakers and Dignitaries of I.T.S Engineering College.

    Distinguished Keynotes have enlightened the participants on the topics - 1“Mathematical Models & Methods of Oil Industry”. 2“The Internet of Things Revolution: Smart Cities & Smart Industry”. 3“Trends in Microgrid Management” “Application of Mathematical Modeling in Energy Drives” 5“Advancement and Skill Challenges in Instrumentation & Automation” 6“IoT in Building & Home Automation” , 7“Microgrids – The changing paradigm for Grid Control”, 8“Renewable energy scenario and its future scope in India” & 9“Power Scenario in India and present challenges” It’s a matter of pride that, ICAEDC-2017 had received more than 200 papers including National & International Institutions of high repute and Industry. With a rejection ratio of 45% based on rigorous review process, hardly 54% papers were accepted for proceedings publication. We are happy to declare that all Peer Reviewed Selected Papers will be published in Springer Proceedings

     Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad and DST, Government of India, New Delhi was organized at Km. Mayawati Govt. Girls polytechnic, Badalpur  by ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida from 6th  – 8th  April 2017

     

    Day 1 started with lightening of lamp followed by Inaugural address from Principal & Hod’s. The program coordinator Mr. Manveen Chadha introduced the term “Entrepreneur” with students. He shared his views with live examples and learning exercises on the topic “Entrepreneurship and Present Scenario”. A quiz was played about young entrepreneurs of India .He talked about the advantages of being your own boss and motivated all the diploma students to look for avenues other than searching a job after college. Second session was by Dr. Pallavi, she explained detailed analysis of “Expansion to new markets-options and strategies”. She also explains students regarding their risk taking capabilities.

     

    The second day of the programme started with session by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Coordinator- EDC, Hi-Tech Institute, .He explained the role of Funding agencies like NSIC, DIC and Banks for start up and highlighted how the entrepreneurial system has evolved in recent times. He talked about various career options and motivated the students to take maximum benefit of the growing nation by venturing in to entrepreneurship. Then, Second session was by Dr. Pallavi, she explained the role of communication in business & why communication is necessary for better results in business.

     

    On the last day the programme Industrial visit was arranged for the students at S. S. Solar Energy, Noida. The main objective behind the visit was to provide the first hand knowledge about the way of working in Industry. There the students got the opportunity to visit all the sections such as manufacturing of LED bulbs, solar fan, Solar Street Light, Solar lantern, Solar panels etc.

    At the valedictory session certificates were distributed to the participants by Dr. Pallavi & Mr. Saurav Kumar.

    The programme was highly appreciated by the participants in terms of entrepreneurship skill development. The students felt very passionate to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

    A “One-day Workshop on Self-Defense Program” was delivered by Mr. KailashChand  Pangtey ,Managing Director-Core Security and Allied Services Pvt Ltd.The event was organized by Internal Complaint Committee, I.T.S Engineering College, and Gr. Noida at Central Library Hall on 18th Feb 2017 from 10 AM Onwards with the objective for building self-esteem of Girl’s student thru self-defense training to develop her most powerful weapon - mind for managing fear and performing effectively under pressure of strangers/defenders in awkward situation .


    Mr. Pangtey has over 36 years of experience in hand-to-hand combat training; Military Close Quarter Combat Tactics and specialist Law Enforcement tactics etc. He is a 5th Dan Black Belt holder in Goju-Ryu Karate-Do.

    He has served for Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Special Protection Group (SPG) for about 22 years. In 1999, he retired from the ITBP and began giving pure self-defense training as Law Enforcement Instructor, SWAT Instructor, Civilian Instructor and Military Instructor to its clients ranging from large group to an individual. Presently, he is holding a position of Managing Director in Core Security and Allied Services Pvt. Ltd. In addition to Krav-Maga (A practical and tactical system developed in Israeli under realistic demands and conditions) training he gives the training on physical fitness, Martial Arts to his clients.

    As an instructor he has served several group/individuals and some of his special projects are mentioned below 

    Self-defense training (Law and Force) to Parliament Security Staff.

    Law Enforcement training to three batches of “Tihar Jail Police” at Tihar jail Complex, Delhi

    Law Enforcement training to “Tamil Nadu Special Police” at Tihar jail Complex, Delhi

    Krav-Maga Combat training (Law and Force) to three batches of North East Police Academy, Meghalaya (NEPA)

    Tactical Combat training, Krav-Maga (Army) to 2ndMahar Regiment Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

    Combat training, Krav-Maga (Law and Force) to National Police Academy, Hyderabad (NPA) 

    Special weapon and tactics training to SWAT team, Punjab Police at Bahadurgarh Training Camp, Patiala.

    The program was started with a warm welcome to guest byMr. KailashChand Pangtey byDr. O.P. Chaudhary,Member, ICC, ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida in presence of ICC, Sports Instructor, Faculty members, staff & students 

    The workshop was on KRAV MAGA a practical and tactical system which teaches how to prevent, deal and overcome all kinds of violence and attacks. Krav Maga prepares the trainees in the subjects of self-defense, self-protection, fighting and combat skills, as well as skills to defend others, all in unique and comprehensive teachings and way. Krav-Maga was developed in Israel, under realistic demands and conditions. 

    Krav Maga prepares the trainees to function in all circumstances and scenarios. Krav Maga enables and brings technical, tactical, physical and mental growth and improvements.

    The training Session has include

    Prevention, avoidance, escape and evasion

    Dealing with throws and falls to all directions and angles

    Attacks and counterattacks, performed to all targets, distances, ranges, heights, angles, directions and in all rhythms. Executed from all positions and postures. Use of all sorts of common objects for defensive purposes

    Defending all unarmed attacks: punches, strikes and kicks. Releases from all sorts of grabs and holds. Defending against threats of knife and sharp objects; of sticks bars and other blunt objects

    Physical and mental control 

    The focus of training is to prepare the girl students mentally; first to avoid and direct encounter and then later how to escape or handle it. It included learning technique to use the environment or objects lying around for self defense, being offensive by fighting and hitting the offender at most vulnerable positions, combating offenses like taking a punch or blow to the body.

    The paradox of self-defense is that the more prepared you are, the less likely you are to need it. When you can recognize and respond effectively to potentially dangerous situations, you are more confident in your everyday activities. You are also less likely to become a target of crime.

    It was a privilege for the students to acquire the hands on knowledge /training on the topic with facts & values from Mr. Pangteyand his associate Mr. Gyanendra Kumar, Black Belt –III Receiver, who is handling such critical projects on the said area for various Government Agencies as mentioned above. The event was ended with presenting a memento as a token of honor to chief guest and followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Bhanumati Panda, Presiding Officer, ICC, -I.T.S Engineering College. Greater Noida. This event was coordinated by Ms. Bhanumati Panda & Ms. Kalpana Hazarika.

     The I.T.S Engineering successfully inaugurated one week Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) sponsored by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow in three different engineering disciplines on Monday, January 09, 2017. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are respectively organizing FDPs on Big Data Analytics, Advances in Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing and Developments and Challenges in Materials and Manufacturing Process.

     The ceremony was marked by the presence of Dr. Vineet Kansal, Director of the Institute Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean Students Welfare and distinguished speakers Dr. Manu Pratap Singh from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, Prof. A. K. Singh from Sharda University, Greater Noida and Dr. Sushant Sinha Roy from Shiv Nadar University, Gr. Noida. Head of Departments & faculty of various engineering disciplines from I.T.S Engineering colleges and faculty participants from other reputed engineering colleges also graced the inaugural session.

     Dr. Kansal, addressed the gathering emphasizing the need to have such academic events in the college.

    Dr. Manu Pratap Singh, Professor, Dr. B. R. Amedkar University, Agra delievered first session of day one on the topic Machine learning techniques for Big Data analysis using Matlab. He explored the data science and its various aspects. The machine learning techniques specifically Artificial neural networks has been discussed in detail with its advantages over linear regression method. He demonstrated with the help of examples that among the various machine learning approaches in the sub filed of data classification, neural network methods etc.

    The post lunch session of the day was conducted by Dr. T. V. Vijay Kumar, Professor, JNU, and New Delhi on Big Data & Analysis. He briefly describes about evolution of data to big data. He had described about traditional databases like Centralized database system and Distributed database systems. Also explain the pros and cons of these databases. He has discussed about various data ware house techniques like OLTP, OLAP and KDD Process. Apart this he discussed about web mining techniques for big data analytics.

      Second day of the FDP was leaded by Mr. Sanjay Sinha, COO, UnoTech Software Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai on “Big Data & Analytics. He briefly explains requirement of big data in current scenario. He has discussed about market intelligence, business intelligence and secret intelligence. He explains the data life cycle and the acquisition of correct data from big data for success in business. He focused on key point about the gathering the correct data from noise and the impact of that data on business. He also discussed various areas where the Big Data involved. He briefly discussed about Bitcoin and Blockchain technology.

      Dr. Himanshu Tagra, Director Operations in HCL Technologies Noida, delivered first session of third day on Big data Analysis using HADOOP Framework. He briefly describes about various use cases of Big data in current business models. He discussed about Hadoop Framework and his functionality. He told about various tools to handle Big data like Hive, Pig, Spark, NoSQL, R etc. He also discussed about live streaming, text mining and analytics life cycle.  

     

    The post lunch session of the day was conducted by Dr. Ananda Swarup Das, Technical Staff member at IBM India Research Lab, New Delhi, on Machine learning technique i.e. Supervised and Unsupervised Learning. He Discussed about clustering techniques and focused on density based clustering. He has described mathematical model of clustering using unsupervised learning. He also discussed about Principal component recognition, Linear Discriminate Analysis and principal component analysis.

    Dr. Vikram Goyal, Associate Professor, IIIT Delhi, delivered first session of forth day on Map Reduce Design Pattern in Big Data. He has delivered the talk on Hadoop Framework and its component like HDFS, YARN and Map-Reduce. He has elaborated about the working of Map Reduce Design Pattern using Python programming language. He told about the data storage in Hadoop and data handling techniques with map-reduce method. He also explains local aggregation, mapper, combiner, pairs and stripe patterns. 

    The post lunch session of the day was conducted by Dr. Sharanjit Kaur, Associate Professor, AND College, Delhi University, Delhi, on Big Data and its Analysis. She briefly explains about advancement in technology has enable  the end-user to store and process BIG DATA on high end storage units, whose storage capacity now ranges from Petabytes to Yottabytes.  She discussed about statistical analysis of data by model fitting using sampling techniques, indexing, searching and mining the data. She also explain how to handle massive heterogeneous data gathered as continuous flow and accompanied by dire need for real-time processing .

     

    Fifth day of the FDP was leaded by Dr. Prashant S. Rana, Associate Professor, Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, on practical approach to handle big data problems. He demonstrates the working on large data set with R programming language in R-Studio. He has explained the process to install and run the R Studio, He also explains about regression model and predictive model. He briefly explained about various kinds of data structures used to handle big data. He also demonstrates to create a data model, apply regression and prediction techniques to predict the result based on huge data set. He has also provided information about the strategy to develop funded project and to write quality papers. 

    Valedictory Session:

    The Valedictory session of the FDP was held on Jan 13, 2017 in presence of Dr. Prashant S. Rana. All the participants have gathered in depth knowledge of various Big Data techniques and also ongoing research on them. Dr. Ashish Kumar, Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department summarized the complete FDP programme and also appreciated participants by mentioning their keenness and passion to learn. During the Valedictory session certificate of participation were awarded to the participants and participants also expressed their feedback about the programme. The programme ended with vote of thanks by respective coordinators.

     I.T.S Engineering College, organized a Guest Lecture on “2017 Trends in IT Talent Acquisition: How to gear up by Mr. Amit Bhardwaj.

    The opening of program was made by welcoming our guest with a bouquet of flowers by Dr. Ashish Kumar. Mr. Bhardwaj has rich experience of 16+ years as a Technologist, sourcing and hiring Strategy developer, motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer and is currently working as Head, HealthCare Sourcing for North America with Cognizant Technology Solutions, North America.

     The talk was initiated by Honorable guest Mr. Amit Bhardwaj explaining in detail about his job profile and his personal and professional life experiences as a strategist. This was followed by elaborated discussion on Various IT and Non IT Skills like communication skills students should possess to get Jobs in IT Industry. In the talk, he told about various Career options and new technologies and emphasized on the need of learning various recent Tools / skills according to hiring requirements of industry. In the lecture, Mr. Bhardwaj told the students to develop applications based on the innovative ideas they get and guided and motivated the students by sharing his experiences in North America.

    The selected students of  B.Tech. 2nd, 3rd and final year of CSE branch of I.T.S Engineering College attended the lecture.

    Finally, Ms. Pritee Gupta, gave a Vote of Thanks Speech and Token of Appreciation to Mr. Bhardwaj.

    Business Incubation Centre, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida showcased 17 numbers of Innovative Ideas / MSME Projects during the Foundation Stone laying Ceremony of MSME Technology Centre held at Greater Noida on 29th November 2016.

    Hon’ble Governor of U.P Shri Ram Naik, Hon’ble cabinet Minister (MSME) Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of states (MSME) Shri Giriraj Singh , Hon’ble Minister of states (MSME) Shri Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Secretary(MSME) and Additional Secretary/Development Commissioner(MSME) visited stalls of I.T.S. Engineering college and appreciated the students projects.

    The IMechE student chapter of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized an Industrial visit to Jet Engine Overhaul Shop of Airport Authority of India on 26th November, 2016. During the visit, students were shown the maintenance procedure of gas turbine, compressors and their blades. Students got the opportunity to practically see the use of various advanced engineering materials and super alloys. The balancing section and welding section of the shop were also visited by the students where they got the opportunity to observe the process of plasma arc welding. The various Non destructive testing methods used for testing of the aircraft components were also shown to the students.

    CSE Department, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized an Interaction session with NEC delegates on 22nd November, 2016. The guests of the event were from NEC Technologies, Mr Anil Gupta (CEO & MD), Mr Sandeep Khurana (Vice-president), Mr Siddharth Choudhary (Head-Marketing) and Ms Devyani Sinha (HR).
    The program started with a presentation presented by Ms. Nilakshi about the achievements of I.T.S Group and I.T.S Engineering College. After that the guests introduced themselves and appreciated the work of I.T.S Group.
